Dec. 7

A report of domestic violence was reported on the 2800 block of Al Ogdon Way. The dispute was verbal only.

Dec. 6

A report of fighting/mutual combat involving three subjects was reported on the 300 block of First Street.

A small safe was found on the 300 block of Fifth Street.

Gregory J. Albrecht, 44, was arrested on the 1500 block of First Street for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUI).

Suspicious circumstances were reported on the 500 block of West Third Street for what was believed to be a possible stalking. Incident is printed for information purposes only.

A one-car, non-injury rollover was reported on the 2700 block of First Street.

A report of domestic violence was reported on the 2700 block of North Sixth Street. The dispute was verbal only.

A multi-colored bicycle was found on the 200 block of Fourth Street.

Second-degree theft was reported at Cheney High School. An iPod was stolen.

Dec. 3

A two-car, non-injury accident was reported on the 1500 block of Washington Street.

A two-car, non-injury accident was reported on the 300 block of D Street.

Dec. 2

Judith D. Liening, 19, was arrested on the 300 block of North Second Street for minor in possession (MIP).

A two-car, two-injury accident was reported on the 600 block of Betz Road. Another non-injury accident was reported on the 700 block of Betz Road.

Dec. 1

Michael Vervair, 20, was arrested on the 1400 block of First Street for minor in possession.

Second-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 1500 block of First Street. A parked vehicle was damaged.

Cheney police and fire departments are conducting an investigation of an arson fire at the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at 306 College Ave. The investigation centers around a fire started on a couch in the living room of the fraternity house while an intoxicated, under-aged member of the fraternity slept on it.

Matthew D. Raney, 20, David J. Garber, 19 and a 17-year-old female were arrested on the 500 block of Betz Road for MIP.

A two-car, non-injury accident was reported on the 1500 block of Second Street.

Nov. 30

Kayla M. Katsell, 20, was arrested at the Cheney Police Department for third-degree driving while license is suspended (DWLS).

MEDICAL LAKE

Dec. 9

Larry R. Williams, 59, of Medical Lake was arrested for a warrant in the area of Stanley and Percival.

James D. Murr, 69, of Spokane was arrested for third-degree DWLS, and a warrant at Jefferson and Hancock.

Received a report of an unattended death.

Officers received a report of harassment in the 400 block of South Hallett Street.

Daniel R. Linn, 48, of Medical Lake was arrested for third-degree DWLS in the 300 block of East Barker Street.

A juvenile was arrested for reckless driving in the area of Freeman and Lake.

Dec. 6

Officers responded to the 200 block of East Barker on the report of a juvenile under the influence of marijuana.

Dec. 3

Officers responded to an unattended death in the 500 block of North Jefferson Street.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

Dec. 9

An assault report was taken at 1400 South Albert Street. A resident advised he'd been assaulted by a tow truck driver while his vehicle was being repossessed.

A report of a suspicious young male carrying a computer was investigated by officers. He was headed to his uncle's residence.

Officers responded to West 6th Avenue and South Aspen Street for a vehicle stuck and blocking the roadway.

Police were contacted by a citizen concerned for a friend's welfare. The friend was OK.

Officers checked on a traffic hazard at West 17th Avenue and South Market Street. A couch and a shopping cart were removed from the roadway.

Dec. 8

Stephanie M. Leininger, 32, was arrested for third-degree (DWLS) at West Sprague Avenue and South Hayford Road.

She was booked into jail on a misdemeanor warrant out of Deer Park Municipal Court for third-degree DWLS.

Police took a third-degree theft report from 500 South Solar Street.

Two Christmas reindeer were taken from the front yard.

Officers took a second-degree rape report from 13900 West 12th Avenue.

Police were called to 2000 South Campbell Street for an intoxicated guest. The guest was transported for medical care.

A malicious mischief report was taken at 12800 West 12th Avenue. A man was driving his vehicle when the rear window was shot out by a BB gun.

Police responded to a possible driving under the influence call at West Highway 2 and South Hayden Road. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was not found to be drinking.

A theft report was taken at North 100 Hayford Road.

A wallet with $400 cash was taken from an employee's locker. The wallet was later found at Wal-Mart's parking lot minus the cash.

Shaine L. McIntyre 22, was booked into jail on a misdemeanor warrant for hit and run unattended at West 12700 and West 19th Avenue.

Michael R. Pate, 22, was booked into jail on charges of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and making false or misleading statements to officers at 1700 South Lawson Street.

Police were called to West 12500 West Highway 2 for an argument. There was no evidence of an assault.

Dec. 7

Officers assisted federal agents on a search warrant at 1700 South Lawson, resulting from a drug arrest by Airway Heights officers.

A suspicious person call at West 15th Avenue and South Russell Street was investigated by officers.

Andee M. Tyson, 40, was arrested for DUI at West Highway 2 and South Garfield Road.

Dec. 6

Edward P. Santacruz, 40, was booked into jail on charges of first-degree DWLS, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver (meth), possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of marijuana under 40 grams.

He was also booked on warrants from Spokane County District Court, a felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor warrant for first-degree DWLS.

Charlene R. Ward, 42, was booked from Airway Heights Municipal Court into jail on a Spokane District Court warrant for (DUI).

Officers contacted two suspicious persons at West 12th Avenue and South Garfield Road. They were found to be employees.

Police took a report of a juvenile failing to return home.

She was found at 12700 West 8th Avenue and returned home.

Shawn L. Walker, 36, was booked into jail on charges of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence, that occurred at 1900 South Mintle Street

An unwanted guest was reported at 1400 South Albert Street. The unwanted guest was transported to detox.

Dec. 5

Police were called to13300 West Highway 2 to take a burglary report. Someone broke out a window, climbed in and took $40.

Kevin J. North, 47, was contacted at Joslyn Court and Molly Mitchell Drive and book into jail on a felony warrant out of Spokane for eluding police.

Police were requested at 13500 West 6th Avenue regarding child pornography received in an e-mail.

Several concerned citizens contacted police regarding traffic speed from West 21st Avenue to West 18th Avenue on Mintle Street.

A bicyclist was contacted for walking bicycle a on the wrong side of the road.

A woman contacted police at West 18th Avenue and South Mintle Street regarding eviction procedures.

Dec. 4

Offices took a malicious mischief report of the inmate crew causing debris to land on parked cars while they were sweeping the sidewalks at 13400 West Highway 2.

Police responded to 100 North Hayford Road for a suicidal subject, who was transported to hospital.

An unruly person at 12500 West 21st Avenue was contacted by police and trespassed from the property.

Dec. 3

Officers took a forgery report from a citizen whose credit card information had been compromised. It was discovered to be charges for a virtual game played on the internet.

Police responded to a noise complaint at 12500 West Frank Street. The homeowner's daughter was contacted and advised to turn down the music.

A report of an argument at 900 South King was investigated by officers. No assault occurred. It was verbal only.

Police were called to West 21st Avenue and South Mintle Street for a vehicle that had skidded off the road through a fence.

Eugene J. Haskins, 53, was booked into jail for DUI at West 21st Avenue and South Mintle Street.
