Cheney Planning Commission members and those in the audience at the Nov. 19 commission meeting learned a valuable lesson – always follow the process.

Oh, and get everything in writing.

Lack of documentation turned a probable 15-minute discussion into a 45-minute debate last Monday night on the renewal of Fellowship Baptist Church's conditional use permit for construction of a new church building on their property in the 300 block of West First Street.
