Northeast Washington hay growers holding annual conference Dec. 1

The Northeast Washington Hay Growers Association announces its annual conference, which will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1 in Clayton. The conference will be held at John's Automotive, beginning at 8:45 a.m.

Doors open at 8 a.m. for registration, coffee and donuts.

Washington State University Extension educator in Davenport Tom Platt said presentation topics such as learning hay and beef production costs, structuring a business entity for tax benefits and liability protection, and producing weed free hay should interest hay growers and graziers alike.

Pesticide license recertification credits have been requested for the conference.

Costs for the conference are $15 at the door. The registration fee includes lunch and handout materials.

The conference is co-sponsored by the NE Hay Growers Association and WSU Extension.

WSU Extension programs are offered without discrimination. For accommodation of special needs, or for more information, contact Platt at 509-725-4171.
