Are teens drinking it up more than before?

Recent events have people suspecting teenage drinking is on the rise in Cheney.

Statistics in the Cheney Police Department October Monthly Accountability Review report indicate criminal alcohol offenses are up as much as 25 percent over this time in 2006, depending on which chart you use.

Last month there were 26 arrests for alcohol offenses, and verbiage in the report states increases for minor in possession citations are “up significantly.”

We know 14 of those October arrests come from one incident involving Cheney High School students, leading one to ask does the increase in alcohol offense...
