Cheney Fire Department recieves FEMA grant

The Cheney Fire Department received a $70,052 grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The funding comes under the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) for operations and safety expenses.

According to a press release on Friday from the Department of Homeland Security, $395,242 was awarded to five fire departments in Washington State for their operations and safety initiatives.
