Airway Heights narrows city manager field down to pair of candidates

Airway Heights City Council conducted teleconference interviews of four of the five potential candidates for the position of city manager at an Oct. 22 meeting held at the Sanford Suites in Airway Heights, after which officials further narrowed the candidate pool down to two.

Officials began selecting candidates last summer through executive recruiting firm, Bob Murray & Associates, to replace former city manager, Chuck Freeman, who left Airway Heights in June to accept a position in Coos Bay, Ore.
