CHENEY

Sept. 20

Joshua E. Wrightington, 23, was arrested for third-degree driving while license is suspended (DWLS).

A report of fourth-degree assault was made on the 900 block of First Street.

Seth J. MacDonald-Super, 22, was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) on the 900 block of Second Street.

Sept. 27

Barkley V. Bryan, 42, was arrested for obstructing a public servant by making a false report and no valid operator's license without ID.

A two-car accident occurred on the 1400 block of Washington Street. No injuries were reported.

A pedestrian-vehicle accident was reported at the 500 block of First Street. Minor injuries were reported.

Sept. 26

A report of third-degree malicious mischief was made on the 800 block of Salnave Road. The windows of a car were broken.

A warrant arrest for another agency was made on the 1600 block of South Windsor.

Eric B. Koontz, 20, was wanted by Spokane Police Department stemming from a charge of second-degree malicious mischief.

A report of second-degree theft and forgery was made at Mitchell's Harvest Foods. Investigation is pending.

Aaron L. Carpenter, 29, was arrested on a warrant at the Cheney Municipal Court for failure to comply with a court order. Bail is set at $10,000.

A report of first-degree malicious mischief was made at the Bubble Machine on First Street. A change machine was repeatedly bashed.

Sept. 25

A report of third-degree theft was made at the 3100 block of Meadow Glen Lane. Pioneer Stereo equipment was stolen from a car.

A report of second-degree theft was made at the 3200 block of Meadow Glen Lane. Clarion Stereo equipment was stolen from a car.

Bobby L. Victor, 20, was arrested on the 2400 block of University Lane for DUI and DWLS.

Sept. 24

A report of forgery was made at Ben Franklin. The incident is believed to be related to the Sept. 26 forgery and theft occurring at Mitchell's Harvest Foods.

From a case that started Sept. 9, an abandoned dark-blue Saturn was towed from Al Ogdon Way.

Sept. 23

A 16-year-old male was arrested for fourth-degree assault - domestic violence and making a false/misleading statement on the 200 block of West Second Street.

A report of second-degree theft was made on the 400 block of North Fifth Street. Garbage cans and a jar of cash were stolen

Kyle C. Stevens, 48, was arrested for DUI on the 500 block of West Third Street

Sept. 22

A report of first-degree theft was made on the 2700 block of Al Ogdon Way. Car stereo equipment was stolen.

A 17-year-old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) on the 400 block of Betz Road.

Orville J. Ferderer, 18, was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol (MIP) and DUI on the 1700 block of First Street. Also arrested were Jonathan C. Jayne, 18, and Chance J. Ackerman, 19, both for MIP.

Sept. 21

Nicholas G. Thiess, 21, was arrested for urinating in public on the 100 block of College Street.

A 15-year-old female was reported as a runaway on the 300 block of B Street.

A report of domestic violence was made on the zero hundred block of Vine Steet. Dispute was verbal only.

A report of third-degree theft was made at the 600 block of Mary Street. A DVD-VCR was taken. Property was recovered, and suspect identified. The victim elected not to pursue thaft charges.

A report of third-degree malicious mischief was made at the Cheney High School. A car was “keyed.”

Sept. 30

Zachary J. Bayler, 28, was booked into Spokane County Jail for possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) at North Hayford Road.

Sept. 29

Police were called to 1400 South Albert Street to check the welfare of children in the care of a juvenile babysitter.

Shelley L. Marchand, 33, was arrested for third-degree DWLS at South Garfield Road and West Highway 2.

Officers were called to 11600 West 21st Avenue for a bullet hole found in a second story window.

Sept. 28

Daniel W. Voss, 25, was arrested at south Garfield Road and West Highway 2 for third-degree DWLS.

Officers investigated a vehicle parked in the no-parking area along the Airway Heights Corrections Center. The driver was warned not to park there.

Police were called to Sunset Elementary School for a child custody dispute.

Amanda L. Tortorici, 30, was booked into jail for third-degree assault, second-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest at South Lawson Street.

Police were called to 1400 South Albert Street for a noise violation.

Officers were called to 1700 South Lawson for an aggressive dog at large.

Angela J. Thompson, 27, was booked into Spokane County Jail on three felony warrants out of Spokane Superior Court and one misdemeanor warrant out of Spokane District Court.

Sept. 27

David R. Thorne, 26, was arrested at West Highway 2 and South Ziegler Street for DUI.

Officers were called to 12500 West Frank for a theft report.

Police were called to the area of South Russell Street and West Sprague Avenue to investigate a suspicious person.

A pitbull at large was reported at 12600 West 4th Avenue. The owner was contacted.

Officers were called to 1200 South Loffler for a juvenile problem.

Officers contacted a suspicious person running at West Highway 2 and South Hayden Road.

Police were called to 12500 West 4th Avenue for a vehicle prowl.

Sept. 26

Police towed an abandoned vehicle from South Lawson Street and West 18th Avenue

At West 14th Avenue and South King Street a dog at large was captured and returned to its owner.

A dog owner was contacted in Sunset Park and warned dogs have to be on a leash.

A blue heeler puppy was reported missing at 800 South Aspen Street.

A pitbull cross puppy was found at large by Craig Road and West Highway 2.

Officers investigated a dog bite at 800 South Ziegler Street.

Officers responded to 13300 West 12th Avenue on a juvenile problem.

Police investigated the theft of a debit card at 100 North Hayford Road.

Police investigated a juvenile assault that occurred at the Sunset Skate Park.

Officers were asked to provide a welfare check at 13500 West 6th Avenue. Everything was OK.

Police were called to 1700 South Lawson Street on a noise complaint of loud music.

Officers investigated a report of a child screaming on the 600 block of South Lawson Street.

Sept. 25

Officers investigated a Child Protective Services referral at 700 South King Street.

Police were called to West Sunset Highway and South Hayford Road for a disabled vehicle.

A suspicious person was contacted at West 21st Street and South Hayford Road.

A report of animal cruelty was investigated at West 10th Avenue and South Russell Street.

Sept. 24

An officer captured a dog running at large at West19th Avenue and South Mintle Street.

A small border collie was found running at large in the area of 12500 West 20th Avenue and impounded by officers.

Ina J. Williams 32, was arrested for third-degree DWLS in the area of West 6th Avenue and South Solar Street.

Billy C. Brown, 20, was booked into jail on the charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree trafficking in stolen property, second-degree possession of stolen property, and possession of a stolen firearm. Brown was arrested at 1600 South Campbell Street.

Curtis B. Kellerman, 22, was booked into jail on an outstanding warrant for first-degree trespass in the area of 1700 South Lawson Street.
