State patrol striving for even better recruitment results

One year later, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) has achieved its hiring goal of new trooper cadets; however, there is still a long way to go in order to keep up with attrition resulting from the baby-boom era.

A concern that WSP would not be able to meet its very much needed hiring goal of 52-trooper cadets for the December 2006 academy class lead to new marketing and recruitment initiatives, which started in August 2006.
