CHENEY

Aug. 31

Trevor J. Sides, 21, was arrested on the 100 block of Second Street for driving under the influence (DUI), hit-and-run and third-degree driving while license is suspended (DWLS) and reckless driving. Also arrested was Mathew A. Hamel, 26, for reckless driving. Incident started as road rage. The DUI arrest is a result from emphasis on the “Drive Hammered, Get Nailed” project.

Aug. 30

A report of a theft in the third-degree was made when a blue bicycle was stolen from the 400 block of North Fourth Street.

An abandoned vehicle was impounded on the zero hundred block of Union. The vehicle is a silver 1998 Oldsmobile Regency with Idaho license plates.

A juvenile was apprehended on the 1800 block of Fourth Street for probation violation, but not arrested. The case was referred to a probation officer.

A 16-year-old female was arrest on the zero hundred block of Betz Road. The DUI arrest is a result from emphasis on the “Drive Hammered, Get Nailed” project.

Aug. 29

A warrant arrest was made on the 1200 block of First Street. Tyrell V. Salyer, 21, was wanted by Eastern Washington University police for failure to appear Stemming from a DUI arrest.

A vicious dog report was made at the 900 block of Salnave when two pit bulls attacked and killed a cat.

Brenda T. Horner, 34, was arrested for DUI on the zero hundred block of Ninth Street.

Aug. 28

A report of a theft in the third degree was made on the 700 block of Salnave. A leather binder was stolen from a parked vehicle.

Aug. 27

A report of suspicious circumstances was made on the 3200 block of Thistle Creek when an open window was discovered with the screen removed. Officers cleared the residence, no one was found inside.

Justin J. Beck, 21,was arrested on the 300 block of Oakland for third-degree DWLS.

Aug. 26

Hugo A. Pierdra-Medina, 21 was arrested for fourth-degree assault - domestic violence on the 100 block of Fourth Street.

A warrant arrest was made on Jasmine L. Hunter, 19, stemming from a Spokane Police Department misdemeanor theft arrest.

Aug. 25

Kayla N. Krunnies, 18, was arrested for fourth-degree assault - domestic violence on the 200 block of Betz Road.

A report of a residential burglary was made on the 700 block of West First Street when a break-in was discovered in a vacant duplex. Empty beer cans were found inside.

Aug. 24

A 17-year-old male was arrested on the 700 block of Salnave when he was found in possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and no valid operator's license without ID.

A report of malicious mischief in the third degree was made on the 200 block of Holladay when a vehicle window was broken.

A red bicycle was found on the 1500 block of West First Street.

A report of suspicious credit card use was made on the 1500 block of Ridgeview.

Aug. 21

Police arrested a 16-year-old male runaway. This clears a case from Aug. 12.

Sept. 2

Completed a paper service in the 2300 block of South Salnave Road.

Shirlee M. Wadkins, 34, of Reardan was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) in the area of Lefevre and Brooks.

Sept. 1

Franklin J. Farlow, 48, of Medical Lake was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended in the area of Stanley and Percival.

Aug. 29

A citizen came into the police department to report a possible fraud.

Aug. 28

Received a report of a possible harassment in the 300 block of North Sherman Street.

Aug. 27

Received a report of an identity theft/fraud.

Jeffery D. Day, 52, of Medical Lake was arrested for two outstanding warrants in the 300 block of South Washington.
