Cheney basketball plays for food The Cheney girls' basketball team is hosting a jamboree on Saturday, Nov. 24, and all it will cost to get in are a couple cans of food. The jamboree will include teams from North Central High School in Spokane and Deer Park High School. Cheney's Cub and Boy Scout organizations recently completed their annual food drive. Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 356, pictured above, together with Troop and Packs 318 and 381 collected 5,126 pounds of food for distribution to the Cheney Food Bank, more than 1,000 pounds than collected last year.
