Cheney water crews were hard at work Wednesday, Sept. 5, looking to access a leaking water main that sent water streaming down the driveway of the Willow Wood apartment complex at 111 College Hill Road. The city was notified around 8:20 a.m. and crews were still working to access the broken pipe early Wednesday afternoon. The annual Coats 4 Kids/Cheney Community Coat Drive is underway. Coats can be donated at any of the local Cheney School District schools or at many local churches and businesses beginning Sept. 10. Classes offer first-hand look at changes in thinking process By JAMES EIK Staff Reporter A new 12-week course at the Airway Heights Corrections Center aims to prevent current offenders from committing crimes that may incarcerate them in the future.
