    The Medical Lake City Council will be holding public hearings on the city’s 2020 preliminary budget and the 2020 final budget at its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5.     A donor drops off a sack of food at the Columbia Plateau Wildlife Management Association’s food drive to benefit the Cheney Food Bank, Oct. 19-20. The association raised 690 pounds of food along with $195 in cash donations for the Food Bank during the drive at Mitchell’s Harvest Foods.     Private James Frederick Blom, 19, of Cheney, Wash., graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on Oct. 25, 2019. Private Blom successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD San Diego as one of 85 recruits in Lima Company Training Platoon 3255.     CHENEY —Spokane County Fire District 3 has been awarded a $2.06 million Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response, or SAFER, grant, according to a press release. It was listed that the Cheney School District’s 2018-2019 enrollment was 4,202 students. The actual enrollment was 4,898.
