  • Malicious mischief includes possible hate crime

    CHENEY -- Police investigators are looking into possible links between "numerous" reports of damage to vehicles that took place overnight, Dec. 9-10. One of those occurred on Buena Vista Street across from the Garden Manor Apartment complex in which not only was damage done to both windshields but the "N" word was spray-painted on the vehicle in what could be a possible hate crime.   • Seattle Amber Alert suspects apprehended in Cheney

    CHENEY -- Police have stopped a motor home that was the subject of an Amber Alert out of Seattle earlier today (Dec. 10). The suspect vehicle, a 28-foot, tan 1992 Bounder motor home with license plate number BPP8654, was pulled over by police at an old gas station at the corner of 1st and I streets.     ELK – State officials say three wolves from Eastern Washington have been tracked out-of-state. According to state Department of Fish and Wildlife wolf report released Monday, Wolves from Stevens and Pend Oreille counties have been tracked to British Columbia, Idaho and Montana.     MEDICAL LAKE — Employees of Bruchi’s restaurant made an unfortunate discovery when they entered the restaurant Thursday morning. “Our safe was gone,” Manager Roy Garcia said in a telephone interview Friday.
