The voting lists for the Walter Payton Award given to the top player in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision were announced Nov. 24 and EWU’s Vernon Adams and Cooper Kupp are both on the ballot. Former Eastern Eagle Bo Levi Mitchell completed 14 of 22 passes for 336 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Calgary Stampeders to a 43-18 win Nov. 23 over the rival Edmonton Eskimos, earning his team a berth in the Canadian Football League’s Grey Cup.
