    Eastern Washington seniors had a special night in the final regular season football game Nov. 12, a 48-17 Big Sky Conference victory over Idaho State. In the game EWU All-American Cooper Kupp set a new NCAA record for career receptions, and scored twice. Other seniors with big days on offense were Zach Wimberly, Jabari Wilson and Shaq Hill who each scored a touchdown.     Eastern Washington won a 70-47 Veterans' Day basketball victory at Reese Court last Friday over Linfield College in which senior Felix Von Hofe made 7-of-12 shots from 3-point range to finish with 21 points, while aophomore Cody Benzel 17 points. Eastern was on the road for a pair of games at Northwestern and Texas but return to Reese for a string of four home games starting Nov. 21 versus Bryant University.... Full story

    The West Plains Bandits 18U softball team finished its season with a third-place finish at the Pumpkin Classic in Selah, Oct. 8 – 9.     Eastern Washington dug itself just too deep of a hole in its first-ever NCAA soccer playoff game Nov. 12 in Los Angeles against the University of Southern California. The Eagles fell behind 3-0 in the first half to the Trojans, but Devan Talley’s goal on a header in the 59th minute that broke the shutout in a 3-1 loss was just too little, too late.     The Cheney High volleyball team wrapped up a stellar season after they finished with a record of 1-2 in the 2A state tournament in Lacey Wash., Nov. 11-12.
