Switch replacement work taking place Saturday, Oct. 17, in north Cheney will result in some scheduled power outages to a good portion of that section of the city. Cheney’s Michael O’Donnell claimed the top spot in Week 3 of the of the 2015 Cheney Free Press football contest, earning a $50 merchant’s gift certificate, missing two games. The Seattle Mariners are gearing up for 2016 and they are going to have to do it without manager Lloyd McClendon. The team announced McClendon’s release on Friday, Oct. 9.
