    CHENEY – Friends of the Cheney Library is hosting its annual Rodeo Days Book sale this Friday and Saturday outside of the library on First Street. The library’s basement is overflowing with thousands of items for this year’s sale, officials said. Available items include hard- and soft-cover books across all genres, as well as tapes, CDs, VHS tapes and DVDs. Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own bags for their purchase.     MEDICAL LAKE – The City Council reviewed s proposal at last Tuesday’s meeting to install a dual port electric vehicle charger at the local library. The proposal was presented by Amber Williams, the Strategic Project Manager at the Spokane County Library District.     CHENEY – The City Council approved a $12 million transportation improvement Transportation Improvement Program at its June 25 meeting. According to Public Works Director Todd Ableman, the street plan is estimated at $2.26 million for funded preservation work and $2.51 million for planned grant matching funds.     MEDICAL LAKE – The City Council is reviewing a new regulation aimed at reducing fire hazards by requiring property owners to remove dangerous vegetation and debris.
