Cheney High School seniors Theo Petropoulos and Eric Igbinoba have signed letters of intent to play football at NCAA Division III Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore. Igbinoba, 6-feet, 180 pounds, has signed as a wide receiver for the Wildcats. The May 22 edition of Eastern Washington University’s student newspaper, The Easterner, reported that two members of EWU’s women’s basketball team, junior Chenise Pakootas and redshirt sophomore Morganne Comstock have transferred to schools in Hawaii. Pakootas, a two-year letter winner out of Inchelium, Wash. will finish her senior season at Division II Chaminade University in Honolulu. FROM NEWS SERVICE REPORTS Eastern Washington University hockey has announced that forward Dylan Tappe from Spokane has committed for the 2013-14 season. Tappe comes to EWU after finishing his hockey career with the Spokane Braves of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. He spent parts of four seasons with the Braves amassing 177 points in 158 games.
