    By CARA LORELLO Staff Reporter During its regular meeting on May 26, the Medical Lake School Board approved its 2009-2010 school year calendar with a change to include an extra learning improvement day, or LID, on Nov. 25. The Washington Administrative Code 392-140-955 defines LIDs as a scheduled workday during the school year for certificated instructional staff funded by the state for the purpose of improving student learning and implementing education reform.     By JOHN McCALLUM Editor Cheney's Aaron Byrd wrapped up his high school golfing career with an 18th-place finish at the 2A boys' state championships, held May 27-28 at Apple Tree Golf Resort in Yakima. The Blackhawks' senior shot a first round 77 on Wednesday and a second-round 76 Thursday, lifting him six spots in the final standings, for a two-day score of 153, finishing in a tie with Tumwater High School's Tommy Kjorlaug and South Whidbey's Bruce Guetlin.
