    By CARA LORELLO Staff Reporter During its regular meeting on May 26, the Medical Lake School Board approved its 2009-2010 school year calendar with a change to include an extra learning improvement day, or LID, on Nov. 25.     By JOHN McCALLUM Editor Cheney's Aaron Byrd wrapped up his high school golfing career with an 18th-place finish at the 2A boys' state championships, held May 27-28 at Apple Tree Golf Resort in Yakima. The Blackhawks' senior shot a first round 77 on Wednesday and a second-round 76 Thursday, lifting him six spots in the final standings, for a two-day score of 153, finishing in a tie with Tumwater High School's Tommy Kjorlaug and South Whidbey's Bruce Guetlin.
