    A 31-year-old Medical Lake man was in custody last Thursday charged with three counts of third-degree assault after he sprayed a man, his wife and their 3-year-old daughter with pepper spray in a dispute over a tricycle. Deputies were called to the 500 block of North Brower shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, and found the couple and child suffering from the effects of pepper spray. The audience totaled 107 that night, something specialized recreation director Lavertta Lawrence found amazing and gratifying for her first attempt at inclusive theater.     Unannounced inspections led to increased Medicare rating from four to five stars By BECKY THOMAS Staff Reporter There are five stars next to Cheney Care Center on the Medicare Web site. The long row of blue stars is rare; only 25 of the 232 nursing homes in Washington earned the top rating this year.     The Arena Football League announced June 1 that Spokane Shock and former EWU receiver Raul Vijil, as well as linebacker Kevin McCullough have been honored with league awards. Following his performance in Spokane's 67-57 victory over top-ranked Jacksonville, Vijil was selected as the Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week.
