    SPOKANE VALLEY – A crash involving five vehicles injured six people and impacted traffic on the westbound lanes of I-90 for several hours on Tuesday, May 23. The I-90 west bound on ramp at Broadway was closed for over three hours to clear the debris and do an initial investigation.     OLYMPIA – Although a bill enhancing penalties for possession of hard drugs was approved by the state Legislature during a single day special session, 4th District Senator Mike Padden did not agree with the final version of Senate Bill 5536.     ROCK LAKE – A local rancher is perplexed by the castration and slaughter of one of his bulls on or about May 12. Rancher Rod Mills, the owner of R&J Ranch and Livestock, was notified that one of his bulls had been slaughtered in an unusual fashion that day, according to Whitman County Sheriff’s Office reports.
