  • Lady Blackhawks rally for pair of softball wins

    The Cheney High softball team found itself in a somewhat unusual position last week -needing to rally to keep its perfect record intact. In the end, the Lady Blackhawks did that in two of three games, seeing their nine-game winning streak come to an end in the week's finale at Sandpoint. Cheney notched wins over Pullman, 13-7, Medical Lake, 9-8, before falling 5-3 to the Vikings of Idaho's 4A classification. Read the full story here....

  • Cheney boys and girls take on West Valley track and field

    Cheney's girls' track and field team kept their Great Northern League mark perfect at 3-0 with a 90-60 win over visiting West Valley last Wednesday. The boys' team just missed an upset last Wednesday of West Valley at home, with the outcome of the Great Northern League dual meet coming down to the final event - the 4x400 meter relay.
