    CHENEY – The community came together for a heartwarming event to support local pet owners and their furry friends. On Dec. 21, Tony Blount, the Veterans of Foreign Wars post and the Boy and Girl Scouts collaborated on a pet food drive, collecting 2,400 pounds and providing meals for more than 300 cats and dogs each month.     SPOKANE – An injury collision involving a car and a motorcycle disrupted traffic near Spokane on West Interstate 90 at Lincoln’s milepost 280 on Wednesday evening. Washington State Patrol responded to the crash at 5:47 p.m. Trooper J. Wickham and Sgt. J Heath were at the scene with additional officers managing traffic.
