Medical Lake did hit the road earlier in the week and won a crucial Northeast A League victory, 58-51 at Chewelah...

The bounce the Eastern Washington men’s basketball team hoped they would have from a rare sweep of the Montana schools the week before never happened for the Eagles in their trip to the southern reaches of the Big Sky Conference. Losses to Northern Arizona 84-65 last Thursday and 75-64 at Sacramento State, Saturday, leave Eastern in a familiar place, jumbled with six of the league’s teams in the battles for one of seven conference tournament berths. Eastern will play twice thi...
First the offense went wild, then the defense clamped down and the result for the Eastern Washington women's basketball team was a Big Sky Conference sweep of a pair of home games last week at Reese Court. With three Eagles scoring at least 20 points in the same game, Eastern recovered from a slow start to breeze past Northern Arizona, 92-68 last Thursday night. Then Saturday afternoon, the Eagles slowed things down and patiently took apart high-flying, big scoring Sacramento...

The Seahawks’ come-from-way-behind 23-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship sends Seattle to Super Bowl XLVIII is the team’s first visit to the “Big Game” since 2006. Of course you might not recall, or even care about how the game turned in so many ways, considering all the attention the controversy that centered around Stanford grad Richard Sherman and the postgam...

The Blackhawks out scored the Cardinals 41-23 in the final 16 minutes en route to a 69-53 win in the annual Golden Feather spirit game. Cheney's success came down to their ability to pull off a series of scoring runs down the stretch. Trailing by two at the break, the Blackhawks opened the third with a 14-2 run keyed...
