Triston Keith, a senior, was...

They haven’t wandered in the desert for 40 years like Moses. Nor have they floated aimlessly lost at sea, taken for dead like Louis Zamperini, the 1936 Olympic runner turned World War II hero. It just seems like the Eastern Washington men’s basketball team has been MIA when it comes to wearing their white uniforms at Reese Court. The calendar bears that out with the Eagles playing 17 of their last 20 game son the road. But this Saturday at 12:05 they get to hear Dave Spe...
At the beginning of the 2015 season, Cheney High School cross country coach Derek Slaughter wasn’t sure what he had in his Blackhawks boys team. The emergence of the Blackhawks has landed them in the No. 5 slot of the Cheney Free Press Top 10 stories of 2015. The young and inexperienced Cheney squad made the best of their talents o...
