    CHENEY — Firefighters battled a house fire Sunday night, Jan. 19, on West Dakin Lane, just 15 minutes from town. Around 8 p.m. Sunday, Spokane County Fire District No. 3 crews received a report stating “that heavy fire [was] showing from the roof of the residence” just beyond the town’s borders.
