    On Saturday March 21, over 50 Latter Day Saint youth and adult leaders from Cheney and Medical Lake volunteered four hours of their time to clear Salnave Park of pine needles.     Cheney High School student McKenna Kent was recently selected as a finalist for the Lilac Festival Association. This stage in the competition is called the “Fab 14.” The organization starts out by selecting from over 25 young women who have been nominated to represent their school.     Old Pinewood Derby cars escaped from dusty shelves throughout the West Plains, as young and old Boy Scouts gathered Oct. 29 to celebrate the 100-year partnership between the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
