    Eastern Washington University hosted its first Eagles’ Nest Business Pitch Competition finale on May 18.     Jarms ACE Hardware pulled off a close 2-1 win over the Red White and Blue team on May 12. Zane Armstrong for Jarms pitched the majority of the game while Devin Helsing also pitched for the majority of the game for Red White and Blue.     During Cheney Mayfest on May 13, Turnbull will be hosting their sixth annual Floods, Flowers and Feathers Spring Nature Festival.     The community has a chance to get out of the house this weekend and enjoy the annual Cheney Mayfest downtown. There are new events this year, with the traditional roots of Mayfest still intact.     Cindy Bourgoin, personal trainer since 1998 and a citizen of Cheney since 1979, is now leaving a permanent footprint in the community.     Cheney Parks and Recreation is currently in a competition to receive a chunk of money to go towards a park in the city.
