    Last year was the first time I have ever watched more than one round of the NFL draft because I was waiting to hear Cooper Kupp’s name called. In the third round at the 69th pick overall, it finally happened when the Los Angeles Rams decided to make a wise choice and choose the superstar wide receiver out of Eastern Washington University.     Rotary 21 and Union Gospel Mission Motors teamed up together to help the West Plains community. The two companies helped provide a truck that will be used to pick up food for Cleone's Closet Food Pantry and other items for Women's Healing and Empowerment Network (WHEN).     Although there were not many people in attendance, the Airway Heights City Council held a public hearing on revenue sources for the current expense fund for the 2018 budget. The hearing included consideration of the possibility of increases in property tax revenues. The increase would be 1 percent and the council decided to discuss it further at the next study session on Oct. 23.     The Cheney High School Blackhawks football team had their first true Friday Night Lights experience at home last Friday, Sept. 22, against Eisenhower.
