    The Cheney High School gymnastics team had six of their eight varsity athletes qualify for regionals after their performances at districts on Jan. 26 in the Tri-Cities. “Cheney gymnastics had a great meet,” head coach Jamie Frucci said. “Alexis Miller really shined and showed great mental toughness throughout the meet.     At the Jan. 22 study session in Airway Heights, the City Council was pitched the idea of bringing disc golf to the area. In citizen’s comments, Erin Johnson, a part of the youth disc golf association, talked to the council about the idea of having the activity in the area for the youth.
