Sonora Hetrick serves as legislative page for Sen. Mark Schoesler

Sonora Hetrick, a 10th grade student from Cheney High School, spent last week working as a page for the Washington State Senate at the Capitol in Olympia. Hetrick was one of 16 students who served as Senate pages for the first week of the 2013 legislative session.

The Senate Page Program is an opportunity for Washington students to spend a week working in the Legislature. Pages, like Hetrick, are responsible for such tasks as transporting bills between legislators as well as delivering messages and mail.
